Mosaic Service
For several years prior to 2020, Grace Church offered a bi-monthly service we named “Mosaic.” With dinner and prayers, we invited seekers and people of many different faiths and convictions (Baptist, United Methodist, Presbyterian, Seventh Day Adventist, Latter Day Saints, atheists, agnostics, and philosophers, among others) to discuss our spiritual journeys and understandings of God. We chose the name “Mosaic” to affirm the value of everyone’s understanding and journey to God. Together, we make a larger, richer picture than individually. Since we are not now dining together indoors, we have temporarily suspended Mosaic sessions until we feel the time is right to restore them.
During the summer of 2021, Mosaic sponsored an outdoor gathering, “Sunday on the Steps.” On the third Sunday of the month, members of Grace Church placed a table at the foot of the church steps at the intersection of Belmont and Hamilton Avenues. We shared conversation, water, and snacks with each other and passers-by.
