Community Dinner

Entering our fifteenth year, we offer a free community dinner each Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Meals are prepared and distributed by volunteers from both church and community. The dinner is generously supported by Episcopal Community Services grants, Heartbeat of the City/Christ Community Services, and La Soupe, among others. The community dinner is an occasion for shared ministry, celebration, and connection with members of the community on many levels. Prior to the pandemic, the dinner was held in the Great Hall so as to offer fellowship and companionship. Currently, dinner is provided as a take-out meal. We give out close to two hundred dinners a week.

The Oasis@Grace also maintains a free mini-grocery store throughout the week. We have fresh produce, meat, and staples. Tikkun Farms, owned by Mary Lehman, and other local small farmers donate produce to the dinner and store.
